    henna for friends wedding

     I was asked to do some henna for my friend Donnas wedding.  It was a busy day and I didn't get to take the time I would have liked to do Donnas henna but she was very pleased with the results. She gifted me with some great photos.

    Gallery Night at Breathe Yoga Studio

     I was honored and humbled to have Ms Sandra Sanford  Owner/ Director of Breathe Yoga Studio ask me to participate in the 2nd anniversay of the opening of her studio. It also hapened to be the last gallery night of the season for Pensacola.  The energy in the studio was palpable with all of the wonderful massage therapy, Thai yoga massage, live music, Chai tea and appetizers, and oh yeah! me doing henna! The weather was bone chilling cold and not conducive to henna body art,  but there were a few brave souls who despite the cold bared some skin for me to adorn.My Thanks to Gary McCracken from the Pensacola News Journal for the photographs of me at work.  Gallery night 1  Gallery night 2

    Bridal party Henna

Everyone chose designs that they wanted and I even got to make up some designs based on some other artisits designs. I was a lot of fun with a wonderful group of people.  My thanks to Lauren for the pictures.

    Sankofa Juneteenth Festival

     

    It started off pretty rough with torrential rains and then high temperatures and  humidity.     Body art conference in Orlando Fl

    This is some henna work I did during the Sunshine body art conference in Melbourn Florida hosted by Erika Harrison of Amerikan Body Art. We all had such a great time. I made some new friends and experienced some fabulous artwork by beautiful and talented artists. Great food,great art,great fun. It's good to be a henna artist. Click on photos for larger image.
