FUTURE EVENTS AND FESTIVALS TO BE ANNOUNCED -Nothing pending @ this time. Halloween facepainting funMy department manager asked me to bring my facepaint makeup to work and paint the staff for Halloween. There were a couple cases of the swine flu, a witch, a mardigras princess and a striped goth girl and a skull. I had lots of fun and was well received. Its great to blur the line between work and play! Blame the poor picture quality on my camera phone. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() October 25 Pensacola Peace Festival 2009August 20 bodypainting for a photoshootApril 29 Goombay FestivalDecember 10 Belmont Arts Bizzarre![]() ![]() ![]() November 23 facepainting for friends birthday I don't really get to do as much facepainting as I would like to. Out of the types of body art that I do I have the least amount of experience in facepainting. It's always fun to do some painting for fun and make you push your boundries a bit as an artist. Painting small children is such a challenge when doing detailed work. They have so much energy and enthusiasm it's hard to keep them still long enough to work on them. Here is some work I did for a friends daughtrs birthday party. It was so much fun. I really love facepainting.
November 22 Gallery Night at Breathe Yoga Studio I was honored and humbled to have Ms Sandra Sanford Owner/ Director of Breathe Yoga Studio ask me to participate in the 2nd anniversay of the opening of her studio. It also hapened to be the last gallery night of the season for Pensacola. The energy in the studio was palpable with all of the wonderful massage therapy, Thai yoga massage, live music, Chai tea and appetizers, and oh yeah! me doing henna! The weather was bone chilling cold and not conducive to henna body art, but there were a few brave souls who despite the cold bared some skin for me to adorn. My Thanks to Gary McCracken from the Pensacola News Journal for the photographs of me at work.
